Katie is a nature & landscape photographer currently living near Phoenix, Arizona. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Katie travels there frequently and enjoys photographing the beautiful Oregon coast and forests. From a young age, she began capturing the natural beauty of her parents' backyard flower garden with a Kodak 110mm camera. Now, she often heads out to the local desert and mountains to capture sunsets or heads to her own backyard garden to photograph seasonal flowers.
Artist Statement
The beauty of nature is all around us. The sky, trees, flowers, plants, mountains, oceans, sunsets, and sunrises. Beauty can be obvious. Sometimes it is subtle. Sometimes it's unexpected. You will find beauty if you look for it. If you don’t find it, look again.
Tilt your head. Look closer. Go in for the close-up. You will find it.
